To enjoy freedom we have to control ourselves.

I think that this works perfectly for our team. We need to control our emotions in order to keep from getting upset and losing control. If we do lose it we could do something we regret like yelling at the team or missing a goal.
ReplyDeleteit's true...we can't enjoy freedom if we don't have self-control. b/c if we don't have self-control...things will get out of hand...and that's a freeway to disaster.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Monica! good quote kaitlyn. :)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with this! If you don't have control over your actions and you can't always trust them then how can others trust and rely on you themselves? With that control you can do more because your given more oppurtunities, more freedom. For instance, if we're able to control our ball handeling, passes, etc., we will be able to try things we can't do if we don't have control. If we practice hard and focus, keeping control, we can do so much more than if we don't!
ReplyDeleteThats soo true. It kind of reminds me of our soccer games. If we have self control, chances are we will have a better game and be able to enjoy it and be free from the stress we sometimes feel on the field. (hope this makes sense :)
ReplyDeleteI agree if we want to enjoy freedom in the things we do we need to control our selves in other activities.I'm in Mexico!miss you all!

ReplyDelete...that sayin could fit to more than just soccer...great quote!!!
The Vandenbil girls are on fire! I agree completely with both of their comments! Sorry I wasn't there to support you ladies on Tuesday, but we will recover as a team after break and work toward the PERFORMING part of our team cycle. Self-control girls, remember, the more work you put in over break, the less backward-steps we have to take when we get back. Miss you all, have a great last day and a wonderful break. See you when school starts back up.

i think that it means we have to enjoy ourselves if we want to do things successfully. its not about having fun all of the time, or goofing off, its about working as hard as you can, concentrating, but having a good time doing it. in order to do this, i think that you have to like what your doing in the first place. and we all LOVE soccer....right guys??? so lets work hard, enjoy ourselves, and have success as a team!!!

ReplyDeletesry i'm cuttin it a little close i kinda forgot about it until now.here it is:
awesome quote kaitlyn! i think we should apply that quote both on and off the field as a team because whether we make a bad pass or shott and miss, we can't lose control and let our anger and frustration...you have the rest of the game to make a better pass and the rest of the game is another opportunity to do it better and take the anger and direct it into the right direction! have fun on break! (i'll be working!)
