Monica's Quotation...

How you respond to the challenge in the second half will determine what
you become after the game, whether you are a winner or a loser.

  1. if you don't respond well to the challenge in the second half...you're not going to come out a winner. you will come out a loser. and we are not losers!! haha! anyways...we need to keep up the focus and concentration the 2nd half so we can respond well to the challenge and come out winners...not losers!! :)

  3. Rae's comment...

we gotta be willing to accept a challenge and go into both halfs wanting it more than the other team. Then in the end we wont be "losers". Remember, playing againest the more challenging teams, will make that victory even more sweeter!

If we respond well to the second half and keep focused we will do well, but if we come in to the second half thinking we've already lost, we've already given the game away to the other team.

  5. If we are challenged in the 2nd half knowing we can win and we have our concentration....WE will turn out being the winners. :)

  6. I like the way this quote is said. Even if you lost the game by number doesn't mean you lost it in other aspects.

  7. even if we are down in the first half by alot, if we come out of halftime concentrated, we will win.

  8. Hayley's comment...

If our team is down in score at the begining of the second half, that's our time to show them what we really have. If we come out onto that field fully concentrated and confident, we will have the power to win. Even if that doesn't happen, we can say we gave it our all and it will show we won in other apects, like Frannie said.

  9. I completely agree with Jessica. If we think we are going to lose, we most likely will. That 100% focus and concentration must go fully toward POSITIVE aspects and winning, not "we're gonna lose, we suck. . .etc". Good effort today ladies, I think we did pretty well, considering all the challenges. Be ready and focused tomorrow even though it is not technically a "practice".

  10. I totally agree with this quote! Like we know, anything can happen in soccer. If you go into the second half with the mind-set that you're going to lose, that there's no way you can win, then you will lose. We need to be confident in ourselves every time we step on that field and NEVER be satisfied. We can't ever underestimate ourselves or our opponents, no matter what the score board or stats say! There's just as much time in the second half as the first, just as much can happen. The only difference is which team will enter that second half with more determination, confidence, and focus to make the outcome of the game the way they want it.

  12. i think that we did a good job in the second half yesterday. we need to keep our heads high, and keep pushing forward through everything. and we need to do it as a team.

I think that this quote was a great on considering that sometimes teams will do good in the first half of a game and then blow off the second half because they were too sure of themselves. We need to be carfull of this when we're ever in that situation.

I agree with Rae, Kassie, and Shelby. We need to bring the intensity to the first half and keep the intensity going.

I totally agree with Monica's quote. We need to come out the second half and push that much harder to win the game. i think yesterday we pushed that much harder and proved to both ourselves and the other team that we won't and don't give up.
