This is so true! We should all work as a team and not care who gets the goal or who scores all the points we are a team and we have to act like one.

ReplyDeleteThat's a good quote to think about. I agree with Monica and Kaitlyn. To have success, we need to work hard as a team. It's not about WHO scores the goals but how WE work together, to score and defend them. =]

I totally agree with this quote! After a game, though you may remember every mistake you made or every great thing you did others may or may not, and a week later they're more likely to remember how the team did, not necessarily an individaul player. At the end of the season we're more likely to remember our team accomplishments (like wins, losses) and not how many goals we missed individually. We need to make sure we think about the team first otherwise we won't reach the "performing" part of our "Team Cycle."I think we do a great job of not being selfish out there (though, like Coach says, we need to be while shooting) and we need to keep it up! Like Moni says, we can't be successful unless we work together! Great work ladies!

the dance last night was so much fun and i showed up "fashionably late." (i even had time to blowdry my hair) :)
I think we improved a bit on saturday as far as working as a team goes. Like in the quote we are accomplishing more as a Team. I think we did awsome!! Especially in the second game! Great job girls!!
ReplyDeleteSo ladies, it's definitely a good thing I did not forget to respond to this...here's my thoughts:
ReplyDelete1) We really connected as a team on Saturday, though we had some rough spots here and there, we pulled it through in the end, of both games, which is what really counts.
2) We all sacrificed our own "wants" and personal stats for the betterment of the team. 3) I think one of the great parts about being a team is that no one cares who it was that scored the goals. What we all care about is that we all came together and acted as a unified group.
4) It's all about the big picture, that end result is what we're aiming for, the small things can help, or hurt, us along the way, but down the road, we won't remember who scored, or who cleared the ball half-way up the stands. What we will remember is that feeling of elation when WE, as a team, came together and WON!
5) We got our second chance, and we all rose to the challenge. Congratulations ladies, we are well on the road to a season unlike any other!

this is a perfect quote! this weekend was great for our team, and i am really impressed with the way we have been working together! i think that it is important to remember this throughout the whole season, no matter what, WE are a team.
